"Polished Lackluster" Project

Hello Friends!
I'm back today with another awesome collection for Tsunami Rose.  This time I created a tag featuring a stamp from The Greeting Farm, Cheeky Fairy.  I just love those "cheeky" girls! And the "Polished Lackluster" collection created the perfect back drop for some whimsical fun!

Select & print favorites from "Polished Lackluster" collection.
Color coordinated the digital image to the designer paper. Adhere paper to card stock tag,
and layer tulle upon the paper
with mod podge to add some dimension and texture.
The edges of the tulle was "burned" off
with a heat gun to make it look distressed.

Sizzix die cut to frame the digital image.Fussy cut flowers from another designer sheet,
and added a tag from the collection for some contrast.
Gathered additional matching embellishments,
made a flower, and played with different looks until it felt right.
Then hot glued it together.

Thanks for stopping by my friends,

Challenge #35 @ Tsunami Rose

Hello my friends!
A quick post today to let you know about Tsunami Rose's next challenge! It's Challenge #35 and the theme is "Anything Goes!"  For this challenge I created a tag a few pieces from Daisy's "Life Abloom" collection.  It also features a handmade flower I made this past weekend.  My sisters and I got together, watched some YouTube tutorials, and went at it!  Here it is:

Thanks for stopping by! Big Hugs!

"Life Abloom" Project

Hey there blog lovin' buddies!
So happy to share today's project with you guys!  I've been wanting to work with this collection for some time and I finally got around to doing so.  I love the colors and the style of  "Life Abloom."  It's shabby, it's chic, it's awesome!!

Print and cut out "Life Abloom" collection.
Select paper, trace and cut balsa box shape, them adhere with ModPodge.
Distress edges of box.
Embellish and layer another page from the collection to provide depth.
I selected pretty pearls, paper lace, and mulberry flower.
Prepare cover and binding for mini-mini album
(binding technique by Kathy Orta-Paper Phenomenon on YouTube)
Thanks for stopping by my friends,

Fall Projects with Iralamija...

Hello my blog buddies...

Hope all is well, and that you're enjoying the start of our holiday season.  I had the opportunity to collaborate with Beatriz Jennings, the owner and founder of Iralamija. I've created a few Fall themed projects I'd like to share.  Bety's style is fabulously shabby and most certainly chic, so it definitely appealed to my non-traditional holiday tendencies.

Bety sent me a single sheet of images, and I was able to make a total of five different projects!  I barely had a scrap left! I'm glad her customers are getting very high yield on the products they purchase.

I first made a set of ATCs - I swapped with a few partners, so some of you may have already had a peek at these:
Today I made a couple of tags:
Love the adorable graphics!
I was able to use the same images in the Halloween
collection to make a Thanksgiving tag!
Well my dear friends, thank you for stopping by... I'm always grateful that you do!  If you get a chance I hope you can visit Bety's little shop on etsy, I think you're going to love it!  I'm gonna run off now, I'm suddenly in the mood for a pumpkin spice latte! Lol!
Big Hugs,

Happy Halloween Card

Hi Guys!
Hope all is well and dandy! Today I have another "Witches Brew by Tsunami Rose" project to share.  I'm really happy that I've been able to make so many different projects,  and I've only printed the collection once!  And I especially like that I've been able to get so many different looks out of the one collection.  Here's the card I created:

I started with a black 5x7 card, then double matted the designer page I selected, and adhered them together.

Next I added a single layer of gauze.

I selected a variety of printable images from her Witches Brew collection.
I felt these had the vintage-y feel I was hoping for,
and I matted them with black cardstock.

I found a flourish in my stash that looks like the vines pumpkins grow on.
I added a metal flower-shaped base, and the black mini rose.

And that's it... a pretty little Halloween's Day card. I might just have to send it to my daughter, along with a little bag of chocolate treats!  What college kid wouldn't love that!

Well my friends thanks for visiting again.  I hope you enjoyed my card, and I hope you'll have time to check out Daisy's shop!

Big Hugs!

Challenge #33 @ Tsunami Rose

Hello my Bloggin' Buddies!
I'm having such a good time playing with this new collection from Daisy Collins.  Yesterday I shared a tag that was rather nontraditional, so today I definitely wanted to show something more conventional.  I looked through the stash and decided to limit this project's color palette.  And like I mentioned before, this collection has plenty to offer, no matter which direction you want to take your art.
Here is my tag:

You might guess that I'm really into layering up my tags right now.
I've been using a lot of ephemeron just piling it on.  Maybe for my next tag,
I'll challenge myself to NOT layer! Ha! We'll see!

And now for a word from our sponser... lol!
Be sure to check out Daisy's Halloween Printable and thanks
for stopping by!  Big Hugs,

Tsunami Rose October DT Project & Tutorial #1

Hello my sweet friends,

Some of you may have noticed that I have joined Daisy Collins' Tsunami Rose Design Team.  Daisy created this really cool graphic...
But I'm feeling a bit cheesy... hahaha!
ANYWHOO!
Today I'm sharing my first official project! And I'm super excited to do so! I really hope you like this latest creation as much as I do.

I decided to create a tag.  I wanted to showcase the Witches Brew Printable Journal Kit’s versatility by going with a very nontraditional approach to Halloween. This year’s Tsunami Rose Halloween collection allows you to explore many different looks.  This tag is a compilation of several techniques, including the use of molding paste, cheesecloth, and white paint.  The kit’s ephemeron lends itself beautifully to the fussy cutting and the layering that gave the tag the depth I was hoping for.

Here's a look at how the tag was put together:

I cut out the kit's pieces and picked the ones I wanted to work with.
Used this mask and molding paste for texture on my base page.
Using rubber cement I adhered the designer printable to the tag,
sprayed the molding pasted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst in
Frozen Jack Frost and set it with heat.
The edges where painted white and covered with Diamond Dust,
then I added a layer of cheesecloth over the tag.
I sprayed and die-cut another sheet of paper, and started fussy cutting
the graphics I'd selected.
Last, I sprayed another page and used these punches to make the
flower.  All that was left to do was to place them on the tag
and hot glue them all down!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please leave a comment so I know you have! Plus I love hearing from y'all!  Big Hugs & Happy Scrapping!!
