Up All Night : )

So it's 3:30 am and I'm still in my scrap room!  My sister and I took our first Copic class yesterday, and I haven't put the markers down yet! Hahaha! But to my defense, I scrap in the laundry room, so at least I've finished ALL the laundry!  Between loads, this is what I've completed:

This image is from Kenny K (Download Diva,) and I used the BoBunnyMama-Razzi Collection.  I used copics to color the image, and Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays to paint over the hair, the clothes, and the flowers.  I embossed the chipboard swirl with two-toned moonglow powers in Desert Moon Copper Pine from LSG! : )
Submitting for challenges at:
http://2sisterschallengeblog.blogspot.com/
http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/
Another image from Kenny K. (Queens Cutie) and the paper is Stella & Rose - Mabel collection.  Again used the copics for the image and then sprayed it all with Glory of the Sea Gold... wish you could see the glimmer, sorry :(

This image is from Make It Crafty (Ginger Housewife) and paper from K&Co. the Cut&Paste collection.
The flowers were sprayed with the "about to be released" colors from
Lindy's...they are the Blue Hawaiian Blue, and the Pretty in Pink Pink!
By the way the new sets will be out soon, AND will be available at an introductory price... so get ready to shop! Lol!

Syren Series

I know I said I wouldn't... but I did!  And I going to blame Pocono Pam! A few weeks ago Pam had a giveaway on her youtube show "Table Scraps."  All that was required was to visit Addicted to Rubber Stamps' channel and leave a comment.  So I clicked right on over and typed "Hi, Pocono Pam sent me." Well, Pam announces the winner during her next episode, and it's ME!  I'm the winner of the gift credit! Woohoo! I visit the site and can't decide what to get... they have so many goodies!!! Then it occurs to me to use this unexpected blessing on something I wouldn't normally buy for myself.  COPICS! Yes indeed, I took the plunge and got some skin tones to start... and it's all Pam's fault! Lol!  Here are some of my latest projects.  Copics for the skin, Prisma colored pencils, and Lindy's Stamp Gang products for the rest...

Meet My Boy

Up until now, I've only talked about my girl.  Well, I also have an amazing son, who is well on his way to becoming a real heartbreaker. Lol! My son, Max, is 13 years old, and the apple of my other eye.  He is so supportive of my scrapbooking.  And he's really the only member of the family left that is willing to pose for pictures.  What a blessing that he's so photogenic, but I suppose I'm slightly bias.  Nevertheless, his willingness to be photographed inevitable results in a huge number of photos that I absolutely must scrap!  Here's the dilemma I'm faced with... I'm so addicted to flowers and lace and sparkle and bling!   I have trouble finding a way to do what I'm used to, without losing the "masculinity" I try to relay.  So here's my last layout, simple - but gender appropriate... what do you think?

DressUp Marci DigiStamp Tag

Here is a tag I created for a swap with my sister "DaileyScrapper" and my youtube buddy "ileyssilver." This is my favorite swap, just because it's so easy... no deadlines, no pressure, very laid back, and always super fun!

Our theme for this month was "Easter" and so I was going for a very "springy" look. I found this digital image at La-LaLand Crafts. It's from the Marci Collection, and it's called Dress Up Marci. I think "dressing up" and Easter kind of go together, right? This image reminds me of my own curly haired cutie, when I was still in charge of doing the "dressing up!" Lol!

So what I love about La-LaLand Crafts, is that when you buy a digi stamp they send you two images. One is just the plain ole' "stamp," and the other is colored in for you! This is perfect for me, since I'm new at coloring images, and have not quite mastered it yet.

I did however, use some Lindy Stamp Gang products to enhance the image. I used the Magical Micas, and a paintbrush to add an extra hint of color and a big dose of sparkle! The photographs don't do the product justice, at all! Those of you who use Lindy's probably know this and can agree. And if you haven't used Lindy's yet, it's definitely worth a try!

I used the following colors on the Digi-stamp:
1. Hat: edelweiss moss
2. Flower: alpine ice rose
3. Hat Band: mountain lavender
4. Dress&Shoes: mountain lavender & alpine ice rose

Rose embellishment:
Center of flower: Cotton Candy Pink Starburst Stain
Tips of petals: edelweiss moss Magical Mica

Paper (K&Company Classic K Charlotte Collection)
Sprayed with Glory of the Seas Gold Starburst Spray
Distressed edges with Ranger's Peeled Paint

Loved working with "Marci," I think she's super cute. And I'm super happy with the end product... hope you like it too!

Happy Scrapping!
Yvonne
