Hola Amiga By "Dilo en Español"

 Hola Amigas!

Are you loving these darling new stamps or what??? I know I am!!! They are just the prettiest little stamps, so if you haven't visited Abby's Blog, you should!!!  I had a great time coloring these stamps up with my Copics Markers. The card I'm sharing today is a compilation piece.  I used the beautiful "Bella" stamp, and one of the sentiments (Hola Amiga) from the "Bella Amistad" collection by 

Abby Scrapbookaholic.  

Here is the card:

The paper collection is from My Mind's Eye - Indie Chic "Nutmeg"

I used Liquid Pearls for the earrings and to dress up the circular designs.

The hair is E74, E 77, and E79

Her skin is E000, E00, E11, E21, and R20 - BV00 for shading

Eyes B01 and B02

Lips R02

Flowers  are Y11 and Y15

Leaves are YG93 and YG95

I Am Roses Project ... A Ladies' Diary

Hello Lovelies,

   So excited to share this project with you today! I had been coveting the new Graphic 45 paper pad since I first laid eyes on it! LOL! And thanks to my lovely sister, Yvette, I have been able to get my fat little fingers on this divine paper pad and lose myself in paper bliss!  I even love the smell of it! Hahaha! What, is that weird?  Com'mon, I know I'm not the only one that does this... fan the pages of the pad, as I take a big whiff, while visions of possible creations dance in my head!!! Yay!

Graphicat Sketch Challenge #11

Hello My Bloggerific Blog Buddies!
  
     Today we will begin the next challenge round at Cheri's Graphicat Sketch Blog!  As always Cheri comes up with a delightful new design to motive us into greatness! LOL!

     I was super excited with this particular sketch, 'cause when I first saw it I knew just what I wanted to do... it came to me in a flash... a vision of sorts, hahaha! But I knew exactly which image, which paper, and which embellies I wanted to use.  Now mind you, the actuality of what I created is not exactly what I had envisioned, but nonetheless I am content with the final product.  I think I suffer from "delusions of grandeur"... and my cards usually fall a wee bit short of what, in my head, I thought is would be... is it just me? Or does this happen to you all too?

    Anywhoo, I used an image from Lalaland Crafts.  I first saw her in a card Arlene (Mybutterflykisses) made, and absolutely fell in love. Partly cause the hair reminds me of my little niece Isabel, and partly it reminds me of my daughter when she was little... all that curly hair, that can barely be tamed, even when it's tied into ponytails! Hahaha!

"Dilo en Español" Wedding Card ❤

Hello Blogging Buddies!

I'm here today to post a quick card using one of Abby's wedding stamps.

I used the "Son la pareja perfecta" sentiment, along with an adorable image from

"The Greeting Farm." 

Which reminds me... Abby has recently started selling a selection of TGF stamps

in her store.  So if you're like me, and love the little beauties, 

be sure to check them out!  I recently purchased the "Miss Anya Bags" trio,

and can't wait to start playing with them.

I'm delighted to report that ordering

from Abby's store was quick and easy,

and best of all the stamps arrived quickly!

Anyhoo, let's get back to the project I'm sharing today...

It's a wedding card:

The image is called "Caketopper Couple," and I colored it with

Tim Holtz Distress Markers (it was my first attempt using them to color, 

so I colored very little.) Next, I just added the doilie, ribbon, charm, bling,

and flower, and was pretty much done.  But I decided she needed a

veil, so I added some tulle and then it felt complete!

The perfect senti is from Abby's Set #5 "Para toda la Vida"

Graphicat Sketch Challenge #10

Hi guys! How is everyone doing today??? I am doing awesome!!!

This is the last week of school!!! Then I can officially begin my "Summer Break!!"

And I think that's just PEACHY KEEN, heehee!!!

So for this week's challenge I used this new sketch, and new sentiment

that matched this cute little digi stamp by Mo Manning perfectly!

Taj Mahal Magnolia...

Hey Blog Buddies!

Tonight I created a card for one of my very best friends.  

I had a rough week at work, and she always makes me feel better.  

She is the very personification of sunshine! 

And this lovely little Magnolia stamp reminds me of her.  

My bud has been ALL over the world, including her native India.  

She has visited the Taj Mahal, and since I am not a world traveler, 

I live vicariously through her!  

So I combined, the stamp, the Lindy's Stamp Gang die cut, 

and the Taj Mahal paper collection from DCWV and made this for her...

Here's me and my best bud...

And here are some interesting "Taj Mahal" facts:

In 1631, Shah Jahan, emperor during the Mughal empire's period of greatest prosperity, 

was grief-stricken when his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, 

died during the birth of their 14th child.

 Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632.  

The chronicles of Shah Jahan's grief illustrate 

the love story traditionally held as an inspiration for the

Taj Mahal.  The principal mausoleum was completed 

in 1648 and the surrounding buildings and 

garden were finished five years later.
